Aberdeen Airport Noise – Have Your Say

Airport expansion can mean increased levels of noise pollutionOperating restrictions at Aberdeen Airport were removed in March 2005 after councillors voted 21 to 18 in favour of the change. The controversial change has meant that aircraft now fly in and out of the airport 24 hours a day resulting in increased aircraft and road transport noise and pollution.

While removal of these restrictions has been welcomed by BAA and business, many in the local community are concerned and disturbed by the noise and environmental impact of the changes.

BAA have produced a noise action plan for Aberdeen Airport which is intended to manage the impact of noise from aircraft at Aberdeen Airport over the five year period from 2008 to 2013. The document invites interested parties to submit their views on both the action plan and the noise levels from Aberdeen Airport.

To submit your views you can complete the following survey questionnaire and submit it by 11th July 2008: Aberdeen Airport Noise Action Plan Consultation
