Celebrities Guilty of Environmental Sabotage
A survey recently carried out by City Car Club named Simon Cowell as the worst polluting celebrity motorist. His vehicle emissions exceed those of both Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay and footballer David Beckham.
Simon Cowell drives a Bugatti Veyron, which emits 574g/km, a Ferrari F430 and a Rolls Royce phantom making his overall average emissions a staggering 457g/km.
Jay Kay came second in the survey at 444g/km due to his Ferrari Enzo and Bentley Continental. And David Beckham came in third due to his Bentley Arnage and Lamborghini Gallardo producing an average of 421g/km.
Isn’t it about time that celebrities like these recognised that the examples they are setting are immensely influential? Being a celebrity and having money to burn doesn’t automatically mean that it is OK to pollute the environment in the process.
There are plenty of prestige cars available today that have better green credentials like the Lexus GS450 at only 186g/km or the RX400 at 192g/km.
Whatever you do, don’t follow the miserable examples set by these selfish, inconsiderate celebrities. Take full advantage of the amazing Lexus car leasing deals available today and get yourself a low-emission, high-performance hybrid car and do your bit to minimise your carbon footprint.

Quite right too. Everyone needs to do their bit. Particularly celebrities who, sadly, exert an enormous influence over a lot of very sad people (have they no mind of their own?)!
Driving a car because it boosts your ego simply isn’t acceptable these days. It is about time the ‘willie extension’ type of car died a death.
A car is what you use to get from A to B. Cars are not cool or impressive, they’re dirty, dangerous machines that should be used only when absolutely necessary. If you must use a car, use one that causes minimum damage.
