Cottages much more friendly than Modern Day Houses

Ok so we have been visiting a few cottages lately, a question I bicker to ask myself is why do they not build eco friendly buildings like this anymore? Instead we have half built houses that are made of god knows what that are polluting the environment.

The cottages we have visited are all grade 2 listed and in immaculate condition, they have been around for hundred years ( I doubt to see if the houses that are built these days will last that long, one strong wind and they will all fall down).

I feel as if we should make a petition to push the creation of more traditional cottage houses, they are good for your health and good for the environment.

Methinks you have not done your research. Modern housing, built in the UK, must comply with strict regulations that result in highly insulated, energy efficient buildings. Unlike those built 100 years ago when regulations didn’t exist. They may be pretty but most old houses would fail to meet modern building regulations.
