Eco friendly holidays - Torquay and Arundel
Caribbean or Cornwall? Antigua or Arundel? Where are you looking to go on holiday this year?
Are you worried about your carbon footprint? Are you going to stay in the UK this year and do your bit to prevent global warming?
Or is it a case that whatever you do it pales into absolute isignificance when you look at the commercial pollution caused by America, China and Russia.
But what if you do want to feel as though you are doing something constructive to prevent global warming? Well consider a natural holiday, consider a walking holiday in the UK.
For me most people devalue what our great union has to offer for tourists and wea are all too quick to jump on a plane to visit sunnier climbs. Take Gatwick in August, the place is bedlam and an absolute nightmare, do you really want the aggrivation and stress?
Why not do something very different this summer? Why not take yourselves and the children off to a UK resort and self-catering and discover what the United Kingdom has to offer, let’s look at two possible destinations:
Torquay, South Devon
The English Riveria has a lot to offer for any visitor; Torquay itself is a natural haven of activity and there is little need to take a carbon hungry jet to teach the destination, just look at what Torquay has to offer:
Newton Abbot races, Torquay Marina, Fine Beaches, Babbacombe Holiday Village, Adventure Parks, Golf Course, Theatres, Paignton Zoo, Watersports, Kents Cavern, Brixham Harbour, Dartmoor National Park, Eden Project, Living Coasts and Historic Houses and Gardens.
Obviously, not all attractions are carbon neutral; but there is no reason why anyone would not want to visit Dartmoor and the Eden Project
