Free Power for UK

I was looking to buy eco-friendly gadgets for the family this Christmas, so I have been trawling through my favourite eco-friendly site (no, not Nigel’s Eco Store). No I do my gadget shopping at ItMustBeGreen. I was looking to get my nieces and nephews energy efficient mobile phone chargers - bless them, they are always on their phones and they must rack up some electricity when charging them.Whilst I was looking I found a great gadget for creating power and I have to say my imagination ran away from me.I found a ‘Powerplus Gazelle‘! What’s that you may ask? Well effectively it is a device you pedal to create power and energy, so there is ‘Free Power for all in the UK.’Â

It got me thinking that seeing as the UK is in a complete mess, how much power could be created  by people who have nothing better to do, such as people in jails and the unemployed. Let’s just say there were 2 million people having to do 2 hours of pedalling each day, I wonder how much electricity could be created and distributed into the grid.I think it would be a success if you could power just two hospitals a year, but surely with 1-2 million people chipping in each day there would be a great deal more power than that created.Have a look at this great gadget charger from ItMustBeGreen and cut your electricity consumption. Better still the UK Government could help cut all our energy consumption if they utilised their resources effectively.
