Why Are you Throwing Away Your Mobile Phone?

Cell Phone There are a lot of environmental concerns that people have talked about since the mobile phone was created. Now that the mobile market and the VoIP phone market is growing as big as ever I feel it is time that something should be done about the problem. The rate that mobile phones are being replaced is incredible, every few months literally a new phone will be released, people will flock to the shops to buy one and chuck there old ones out, which will then end up on landfills which will then leak or explode causing toxic waste to filter into the atmosphere. It actually makes me cringe even thinking about it. Action should be taken when purchasing a new phone, if you do not want your old one give it to charity or a recycling unit, it will take 2 minutes of your time to help save the planet.

I think people should cut down on buying top of the range pollution phones and go to the companies that are offering a nice eco friendly phone, this will never happen in my eyes though, as the world is too saturated and owned buy all the big guns that don’t care about the environment and just care about there big fat wallets.

If you are reading this post and are thinking to buy a new phone please go and recycle your old one first.

Mobile phone wastage is criminal. I hate to think of the numbers of defunct mobile phones that are hanging around.

Waste, it’s all needless waste.
