Why Aren’t You Using Energy Saving Lightbulbs?

Energy Saving Lightbulbs with Save You MoneyIt may seem unbelievable but there are still many homes throughout the UK that are not using energy saving light-bulbs. One of the reasons is thought to be the poor quality of light produced by the energy saving bulbs that used to be available years ago, along with the higher initial cost.

But times have changed and homeowners really need to wake up to the fact that todays energy saving lightbulbs are of far higher quality than bulbs that were available even only a few years ago. Many of today’s energy saving bulbs warm up to full brightness in a matter of seconds and the light they produce is now far brighter than it used to be. They are available in a variety of shapes and sizes that will fit most forms of light fitting including table lamps and standard lamps. There are even compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) that will work with light dimmers.

With todays rocketing energy prices it’s surprising how many homes still use old fashioned incandescent lights. The price of energy saving equivalents has fallen considerably as the quality of these bulbs has improved and they are now readily available from most supermarkets so there really is no excuse for not changing over.
